Week 5 in the MTC: "C'est très poggers!"

 Bonjour amis et familles!

It's the one and only Elder Maya coming at you live from the online MTC, again!
These weeks keep building on each other in terms of awesomeness and spiritualness and all-the -good-feelingsnesses. It's crazy that this upcoming week will be my last.

MISSIONARY MOMENTS OF THE WEEK
On Wednesday, I wanted to get out of my bedroom for a bit, so I went with my dad into his office in Downtown Portland, which, because we're living in unprecedented timesb, has been empty and unused. It was really cool to be wearing the tag out in a city as I walked down the street to get some lunch, and I truly felt that 'in the world but not of the world' feeling. I know that this is God's work and I'm beginning to truly love the feeling of being out among people as a missionary.

FUNNY QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"C'est très poggers!"
Chalk this one up to Elder Johnston, who thought it would be funny to take 'poggers', a gaming term (a derivation of POG, or Play of the Game), which can just mean 'really good' in context, and say it with a French accent when asked how his day was goingc

SCRIPTURE/SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Alma 34:8:
" And now, behold, I will testify unto you of myself that these things are true. Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the transgressions of his people, and that he shall atone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it."

I know that Jesus Christ accomplished his atonement so that we could all be forgiven and become perfect, and receive true happiness from following his doctrine and teachings throughout our lives. I'm so thankful for this knowledge.

Avec l'amour (with love),
Elder May

P.S. Thanks to everyone for reading these so far. I try to make these as short and as sweet and as entertaining as possible, but please send me any grievances you may haved.
